Publicly open to all nature-lovers, we are proudly the first bushwalking group established by Victorian residents of Iranian backgrounds. Affiliated by Bushwalking Victoria, Iranian Bushwalkers (IB) is a non-profit club whose main activities with insurance coverage include: 
- Hiking 
- Bushwalking 
- Social Activities 

We provide weekly day walks across Victoria, mostly within 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne metropolitan area. Our activities are open not only to the members but to the guest walkers who would like to participate in a range of physical and social activities that IB has to offer to suit different levels of hiking experience. Multi-day intra and interstate trips are also on the list. 

Whilst most of the walks are single-day activities held on Saturdays, we also run camping and sightseeing on weekends and public holidays. In addition, there are regular social gatherings such as celebrating cultural events and occasions and from time to time we organise push-biking, rock climbing, cave abseiling, motor-biking, and so forth. More on the socially active side, IB holds monthly book review gatherings where people can share ideas on a given book, as well as movie sessions run once a month when a great number of critics and movie fans come together to delve into a cinema-focused evening. 

Moreover, IB proudly takes part and collaborates in multiple charity events all-year-long such as Helping Feet and BTAC Track Cleaning. Club’s activities have a strong social element to them which encourages the healthy habit of a physically active lifestyle and promotes diversity.

این برنامه شامل سرازیری و سربالایی با شیب زیاد میباشد و برای کسانیکه مشکل کمر یا زانو دارند توصیه نمیشود.

همچنین به علت بارش های اخیر و شیب مسیر ، داشتن کفش مناسب هایک و باتوم  الزامی میباشد.

این هفته به منطقه زیبای لیسترفیلد خواهیم رفت برای طبیعت گردی در اطراف دریاچه و مناطق اطراف 
نقطه شروع تا ملبورن حدود چهل کیلومتر فاصله دارد ولی به مناطق جنوب شرقی ملبورن نزدیکتر است

This week, we will visit the beautiful lake and bushland of Lysterfield, southeast of Melbourne. Our walk will start from the east side of the lake, following the trail and returning to our starting point. The trail features varied terrain, and we expect to see plenty of wildlife, including kangaroos, swamp wallabies, and a variety of birds.
Please arrive at the meeting point on time so we can stay on schedule. After the bushwalk, we’ll likely stop by a nearby café for a hot or cold beverage or light meal.

Olinda Falls and Valley Picnic Loop

Length: 7.6 km
Elevation gain: 326 m
Route type: Loop
Grade: Moderate (based on All Trails)

Try this 7.6-km loop trail near Pentland Hills, Victoria. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

The Wadawurrung and Wurundjeri Peoples are the Traditional Owners of the region where the Werribee Gorge State Park is nestled. This short circuit begins from Meikles Point Picnic Area and is a beautiful route along the Werribee River and is well-signed – walkers can travel the circuit in either direction, but anti-clockwise is recommended.
 
There are a few technical areas requiring some scrambling and a short cliff section with cables along an exposed rock face, but they’re not too difficult to manoeuvre. When traveling anti-clockwise from Meikles Point you will reach a junction with the Centenary Walk around 2km, turn left here to stay on the gorge circuit or turn right and extend your hike with a trip to Island Lookout. Be sure to bring your bathers as there are great swimming opportunities at Lionshead and Needles Beach along the river.
