TidyHQ is built for incorporated associations and does a lot: memberships, ticketing, Xero sync, and governance tools like agendas and minutes. Its free Starter plan is real, but it limits you to 100 emails a month and takes 3% plus 20 cents out of every payment you take. ClubCP has no subscription and no email cap, and its service fee is added at checkout and paid by the member instead of being deducted from the club, so a club that mostly needs members, events, ticketing and messaging keeps every dollar it collects.

When TidyHQ is the better choice
No tool wins for everyone. TidyHQ is the stronger pick when:
- You run a formal incorporated association and need the governance side: agenda builder, minutes, and tasks created from action items. ClubCP does not do any of that.
- Your treasurer works in Xero and wants membership and payment records syncing straight into it, or needs bulk invoicing.
- You need to reach members by SMS as well as email.
Frequently asked questions
TidyHQ has a free plan too, so what is the difference?
The difference shows up when you take money, and it is about who pays rather than only how much. TidyHQ's free Starter plan takes 3% plus 20 cents out of every payment and limits you to 100 emails a month, and getting a better rate means $89 AUD a month for Pro. ClubCP has no monthly fee and no email cap, and its service fee is added at checkout and paid by the member, so the amount that lands in your club account is the full price you set.
Is ClubCP a full replacement for TidyHQ?
Not for everyone. If you need formal governance tools or Xero sync, TidyHQ does things ClubCP does not, and we would rather say so than have you find out later. If what you actually run is members, events, ticketing and messaging, ClubCP covers it at no cost.
If ClubCP is free, what happens to my club if it goes away?
A fair question to ask of anything free, and the honest answer is that you should never be locked in. Your members, events and payment records are exportable at any time, payments run through your own Stripe account rather than ours, and your club's data is yours to take elsewhere. Ask us at support@clubcp.app if you want an export before you commit.
