How to start a community group

Whether it is a neighbourhood group, a support network or a hobby community, the pattern for starting one is the same: give people a reason to gather, a place to find you, and a way to stay in touch.

Name the purpose clearly

A specific purpose helps people self-select. The clearer you are about who the group is for, the faster the right people find it.

Create a home people can find

A public page with your purpose, upcoming events and a way to join gives your group a front door. A free ClubCP club provides that without a website build.

Keep the momentum going

Regular events and posts keep a community alive. Even a small monthly meetup, published in advance, is enough to build a habit.

ClubCP is free for every club and built by one person. Sponsor on GitHub to keep features like this coming.
