Publicly open to all nature-lovers, we are proudly the first bushwalking group established by Victorian residents of Iranian backgrounds. Affiliated by Bushwalking Victoria, Iranian Bushwalkers (IB) is a non-profit club whose main activities with insurance coverage include: 
- Hiking 
- Bushwalking 
- Social Activities 

We provide weekly day walks across Victoria, mostly within 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne metropolitan area. Our activities are open not only to the members but to the guest walkers who would like to participate in a range of physical and social activities that IB has to offer to suit different levels of hiking experience. Multi-day intra and interstate trips are also on the list. 

Whilst most of the walks are single-day activities held on Saturdays, we also run camping and sightseeing on weekends and public holidays. In addition, there are regular social gatherings such as celebrating cultural events and occasions and from time to time we organise push-biking, rock climbing, cave abseiling, motor-biking, and so forth. More on the socially active side, IB holds monthly book review gatherings where people can share ideas on a given book, as well as movie sessions run once a month when a great number of critics and movie fans come together to delve into a cinema-focused evening. 

Moreover, IB proudly takes part and collaborates in multiple charity events all-year-long such as Helping Feet and BTAC Track Cleaning. Club’s activities have a strong social element to them which encourages the healthy habit of a physically active lifestyle and promotes diversity.

The Sugarloaf and Christmas Hills Circuit is a relatively easy hike around the Sugarloaf Reservoir with one or two modest climbs. The route is fairly well defined with great views, plenty of kangaroo's and the occasional deer. The hike commences at the Saddle Dam Picnic Area and car park on Simpson Road. Cross the Reservoir wall to the east and continue on the well formed Ironbark Ridge track to the Ridge Picnic Area. The official trail does not continue beyond this point however the route is clearly marked with orange markers as it circumnavigates the reservoir. Along the route you will pass Mount Graham, Rosella Spur, Eagle Point (the highest point in the park), Cockatoo Knoll, Plover Point, Finger Ridge, Sugarloaf Hill and the Sugarloaf Dam Wall with the highest points providing views of the city and Yarra Valley. At most times the water is within view as you walk through open bushland and more heavily timbered areas.

Sugarloaf and Christmas Hills Circuit is a 15km, grade 3 hike located in the Sugarloaf Reservoir Park, Victoria. The hike should take around 4 hrs to complete.

please don't forget to wear suitable clothes, hiking shoes, and a delicious backpack with lunch, water, and plenty of tea for yourself.

این هفته یک مسیر حلقوی 8  کیلومتری در کوه دونا بووانگ نزدیک واربرتون.  را خواهیم پیمود:

طول مسیر: 7.9 کیلومتر،

صعود: 300 متر،

فرود: 300 متر،

پیش‌بینی هوا 100 درصد احتمال بارندگی همراه با پیش بینی بارش برف در روز جمعه را نشان می‌دهد که به همین دلیل درجه ی سختی را بالاتر از ۳ اعلام کردم. کفش ضد آب و بادگیر ضد آب و چوبدستی کوهنوردی بدلیل لیز بودن و گلی بودن مسیر، اجباری است.

برنامه ای خواهیم داشت با درجۀ سختی پنج (بسیار سخت) برای پیمایش کامل خط الراس کتدرال (جنوبی و شمالی) که شامل سه قلۀ اصلی کتدرال هم هست.

در برنامه این هفته به Four Brothers Rocks خواهیم رفت و از طبیعت و مناظر اون منطقه در کنارهم لذت خواهیم برد. 
این برنامه شامل سرازیری و سربالایی با شیب زیاد میباشد و برای کسانیکه مشکل کمر یا زانو دارند توصیه نمیشود.

همچنین به علت بارش های اخیر و شیب مسیر ، داشتن کفش مناسب هایک و باتوم  الزامی میباشد.

Labertouche Caves

Length ~ 18km

Elevation gain ~ 470m

Grade: 3+ Loop

مسیر این هفته در فاصله حدود 120کیلومتری از مرکز شهر ملبورن و در شمال ملبورن (تالاروک) ، به طول تقریبی 18 کیلومتر و فراز و فرود حدود 470 متر در نظر گرفته شده که درجه سختی آن +3 از 5 برآورد می‌شود. 

بنظر میرسه آخر هفته‌ی آفتابی و دلپذیری داشته باشیم ولی در صورت بارندگی، مسیر لغزنده و گل آلود خواهد بود و به همراه داشتن کفش مناسب هایکینگ و چوب دستی از الزامات شرکت دراین برنامه است. داشتن خوراکی و آب کافی هم طبق معمول توصیه می‌شود. 

فقط توجه داشته باشید که جای پارک محدود هست در ابتدای مسیر و پیشنهاد میکنم کارپولینگ کنیم.

Tallarook

Hike overview: Warrandyte State Park, 16km, Grade 3 (based on Trail Hikings), One Way (Car shuffle), Total climbing: 525 m, Total descent: -500 m

The Yarra River Heritage Walk is longer walk that combines many shorter ones in the area into a day hike. Following the Yarra River as closely as possible through the length of the Warrandyte State Park.

Trail features: Rough Trail, Undefined Trail, Heritage, Off Trail, Scenic Viewpoints, Swimming Spots

Tips:

Snakes have been observed in the area, so make a lot of noise.

There are no services or fresh water (other than the Yarra) along the trail, except at the Stan Brae Farm picnic area.

Please respect the area - Clifford Park is owned by the Scouts, but allow use for walkers; a section of this walk is not marked on any maps and may be private property (although maps show it as State Park)

Yarra River Heritage Walk 

Hello Friends,

This is the second section of the Surf Coast walk starting from Bells Beach. It will be a 15-kilometer Grade 3 walk with a car shuffle. Please be there on time at 8:45 am to avoid delay in the car shuffle. Please also bring enough water, a sun-protective hat, and food for lunch. Hopefully, we will enjoy beautiful weather in a sunny coastal walk near the ocean.

Surf Coast Walk 2
