Why ClubCP is free, and what that means for your club
Most club management software bills per member, gates the useful features behind a paid tier, and pushes you to upgrade the moment your community grows. Small clubs end up running on spreadsheets, group chats, and goodwill. ClubCP exists because that's a bad trade.
What you get
- Unlimited members
- Unlimited events
- Free and paid membership plans
- Stripe card payments, with money going straight to you
- Posts, announcements, and member directory
- Admin insights, transaction tracking, member management
- No “contact sales,” no upsell tiers
What the catch is
It's built and maintained by a small team funding it themselves. There is no SLA, no guaranteed uptime, and no support contract. Responses to bugs and feature requests are best-effort. If you need 24/7 on-call enterprise support, this isn't the right tool. If you need a solid platform for a real community of a few hundred people, it is.
How it stays online
Servers, domains, email delivery, error monitoring, and time all cost something. Comparable hosted club platforms charge $200–$500 a month for what ClubCP does for free. If ClubCP saves your club that cost, sponsoring the project on GitHub for a fraction of it keeps the lights on and buys time to keep improving it.
